Bethlehem Beginnings is an eight-week class that covers the foundations of the Christian faith, specially tailored for those who are considering joining Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Pastor Rod and Pastor Ben have structured this class around the narrative of the Bible, leading you from creation, the fall, God’s promise of restoration, Christ’s death on the cross, his resurrection from the dead, and all the way to the very end of the world. Along the way, you will explore how Lutheran teachings on Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, the Word of God, Law and Gospel, and other doctrines fit into and arise out of the sacred story of Scripture. After that, you will learn what it actually means to live “in Christ” as a Christian, what the church is, and what is happening in our worship services.
