Together Growing in Christ

High School (9-12) Youth Group
We meet every Sunday, usually from 6-8 p.m. We spend our time in high-energy fellowship and strive to provide a come-as-you-are, safe and welcoming atmosphere where students can gather with fellow Christians, have fun and be nourished in their walk with Christ. We are fully aware that it is difficult to be faithful as a young adult in our culture today, so we work to equip and encourage our students. Our goal in whatever we do -- service projects, Bible studies, fellowship events, hanging out -- is to relish in our God-given gift of faith and grow together in Christ.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
Middle School (6th-8th) Youth Group
We meet every other week, about twice a month. Much like the high school group, we spend time in fellowship and servant activities. Our group name acknowledges that as young Christians we are in the line of Satan's fire every day. The only way we are able to combat sin is by keeping our eyes on the cross, believing Jesus is our Savior and Guide.
"In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." (Ephesians 6:16)
We typically meet one Sunday afternoon a month for a fellowship activity or service project, and a devotional. It is so important to connect students early with the Christian Gospel and a community of fellow believers. Some highlights of last year included Outdoor Movie Night, tubing, Games Day/Rock Band at church, Nerf Wars, fall cleanup projects for church members and ‘Random Acts of Kindness' at East Towne Mall.
"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." (1 Timothy 3:12)
