High School Youth Let Love for Christ Shine

Almost weekly, Bethlehem's high school youth gather for special activities and faith-building activities. They even have a comfortable youth room with couches and a giant screen TV where they can relax in a positive environment with Pastor Steve and volunteer youth leaders.

May 6 - “Welcome BBQ" at church from 5-8pm

Join us for a night full of fun—and food! Plus we are going to be officially welcoming all the graduating 8th graders into SoulFire this night. The 8th graders will also have to make up for all their confirmation transgressions when they receive firing squads. The night will start with a grill out. Then after the firing squads we will spend the rest of the night playing kickball, basketball, and other games!

May 20th – Vitense Golfland 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We will spend the evening at Vitense in Madison where you can play mini-golf or whack balls at the
driving range until your heart’s content. All of our soon-to-be-freshly confirmed 8th graders are welcome to attend! Contact Pastor Stevefor details such as cost.

LCMS National Youth Gathering 2013

Every three years over 35,000 Lutheran youth and adults come together for 5 days of unforgettable moments at the National Youth Gathering. The next one will be in San Antonio, TX from July 1-5, 2013. The Gathering provides young people an opportunity to learn about their faith and their Lutheran identity, plus have a TON of fun and do all sorts of AWESOME things.

This event is the single largest LCMS event.

The theme for the 2013 National LCMS Youth Gathering is "Live Love(d)" based on I John 4:9. Obviously we are in the very early stages of organization. But we want to know if students may be interested in attending. Specific details and costs are still in the works, but if you think you might be interested please let Pastor Steve know.

The Gathering is intended for high school youth ages 14-19. This includes: (1) those who are 14 years of age at the time of the Gathering; (2) those entering his or her ninth grade year at the time of the Gathering; and (3) those who are 2013 high school graduates.

Happy Birthday!

Hey high schoolers! Pastor Steve will be starting a new tradition here at Bethlehem. He wants to take every high school student out for breakfast on their birthday. These “birthday breakfasts” will be Pastor’s Steve treat to you. They are a great way to get to know each other better. So when it is your birthday month, look for a personal invitation from Pastor Steve. Then he will meet you wherever you want for breakfast, before you head off to school!
