Where did we get the name, CrossFire? Ephesians 6:16 says, “…take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” We need to keep our faith in Jesus strong, because Satan is trying his best to break us. Our faith, our hope, and our trust in Jesus will remain strong when we stay connected to Him. CrossFire is a place where we know our faith will not be compromised in the activities we do and the friends we maintain. Jesus conquered those flaming arrows for us with his death on the cross and resurrection. We’re gonna live for Him!
This youth group is for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders, and meets periodically throughout the school year for fun, fellowship and community service activities.
“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:16)
Rube Goldberg Machine Day on March 17
It’s time for our first Rube Goldberg Machine Day! What is a Rube Goldberg machine you ask? This is generally a task that is very simple to complete, but turned into something much more complicated. You may know it as a machine that takes a marble from one side of the room to another, but instead of rolling it across the room, the ball travels through a tube, into a bucket, flips around a spinny-thing, knocks over some dominoes…you get the picture! We’ll be getting creative–put on your thinking caps and join us from 12:30pm-2:30pm!
SkyZone Trampoline Park on April 28
Join us for a combined CrossFire and SoulFire event at SkyZone! Time & price is to be determined, so stay tuned!
Cookout & Brain Break on June 2
The end of the school year can be a drag, so…take a break! All eighth grade students are invited to your first SoulFire event from 6pm to 8pm—a cookout dinner and a brain break! Have fun getting to know some new faces! We’ll play some games, but this is really an opportunity for you to hang out and relax.
Confirmation Classes for 7th & 8th Grade Students
Our confirmation program is designed to instruct and engage students with the beliefs of the Lutheran church and highlight the always-present relevancy of God’s Word to our lives. Confirmation years are a process in which students are encouraged and nurtured to take ownership of their faith. For more information, please contact us.
