Bethlehem Lutheran Church Sun Prairie, WI

CrossFire (Grades 6-8)

Where did we get the name, CrossFire?  Ephesians 6:16 says, “…take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”   We need to keep our faith in Jesus strong, because Satan is trying his best to break us. Our faith, our hope, and our trust in Jesus will remain strong when we stay connected to Him. CrossFire is a place where we know our faith will not be compromised in the activities we do and the friends we maintain. Jesus conquered those flaming arrows for us with his death on the cross and resurrection. We’re gonna live for Him!

This youth group is for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders, and meets periodically throughout the school year for fun, fellowship and community service activities.

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:16)

“Faithnite Day” on October 21

We’re well aware of the latest video game craze that has consumed the nation for months now. So we’ll adapt and tweak it a bit as we fend off the wily temptations of the Devil. Covered in the mighty armor of God, we will search for evil minions in an effort to save ourselves. Come to church for an afternoon of faithnite fun from 12:30-2:30pm.

Movie & Popcorn Night on November 18

Our church will be in the midst of a Journey to Bethlehem transformation, so we’ll stay far away on the other end of the building for a movie night. DCE intern, Jan, will get the corn popping and we can all settle into the comfy couches of the upstairs Crossfire youth room for an afternoon movie from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. We’ll provide the popcorn and the ice-cream floats, you just show up
and bring a friend or two with you!

Confirmation Classes for 7th & 8th Grade Students

Our confirmation program is designed to instruct and engage students with the beliefs of the Lutheran church and highlight the always-present relevancy of God’s Word to our lives. Confirmation years are a process in which students are encouraged and nurtured to take ownership of their faith. For more information, please contact us.
