A Casual Setting
for Worship
For those who prefer a more relaxed worship setting with uplifting Christian music, Bethlehem offers a contemporary service at 10:45 a.m. Sundays. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, the service is held at 9:15 a.m. rather than 10:45 a.m.
Held in the church's fellowship hall, these services are led by the Bethlehem Praise Team, which includes singers as well as keyboard, drum and guitar players.

While the atmosphere is more informal than traditional worship, the liturgy, message and
music are true to the Scriptures.
Many who worship alternate between
traditional and contemporary worship.

A staffed nursery is available every Sunday from 9:00 am - 11:45 am.
Communion is served the second and fourth Sundays in Contemporary worship.
What We Believe About Communion
In accordance with the Scriptures, we believe that in this sacrament the true body and blood of Christ is received with the bread and wine. It is not a symbolic eating and drinking. Christ is truly present giving us the same body and blood given and shed for us on the cross. As we receive this Sacrament in faith we are assured of God’s forgiveness and strengthened in our love for Him.
By participating together we also confess our oneness in Christ and our unity in what we believe and teach in the Lutheran Church. Those worshiping with us who are in doubt and yet desire to receive the Sacrament are asked to speak with the pastor before communing.
Note: Individual cups of non-alcoholic white wine are available for pregnant women, people with allergies to dye/yeast, or other issues.
